Is Bob upset because the guy that owns the trailer park stood up to him or is it someone else that finally got sick of Bob bullying people?

This is perfect, ole Bob pizzes off a property owner and starts screaming like he’s a victim. Talk about a pile of cr@p. I can see this fool spending tens of thousands trying protect himself from his own ego. Who really thinks we need to start blocking off access to city hall like Bobbi’s some sort of high value politician? What’s next post a couple guards to protect poor Bob?

JB has asked me to submit 4 separate posts instead of one big War and Peace submission.

My apologies to the park board- and school sports questions. I should have answered earlier.

As for bullet proofing city hall- well in all honesty it took me a bit to quit laughing. I get that tyrants like Bob who bully citizens can be a target. But just because someone stands up to his bullying doesn’t mean Bob’s going to be shot- it probably means Jb is going to get messages or I’m going to get forty bazillion calls and asked to open it up for public discussion. In the end the only shots fired will be on social media and Jbs news site. Still at the current rate of drama , over reaction and political ploy we may very well end up paying for personal security for our mayor. Perhaps we can hire our very own Secret Service. ------ What a pile of horse hockey pucks.

There might be three or four separate posts this evening. JB has them all-he’ll figure which he wants to approve or not. Tami

1. Regarding the schools, sports and travel teams and who might be to blame for the issues surrounding MCS programs. A few facts- if travel teams were the issue then Southwestern would be struggling as MCS does. So we can’t blame travel teams. Neither Hanover nor Madison has had major drops in population under 12 so we can’t say that there are fewer kids from which to draw. But what we do know is several years back before Courtney became mayor Madison had a thriving youth sports program. They also had a different director as a previous poster pointed out. Certain things are also true. The Hanover’s Town Board has made a strong effort to work openly & fairly with all citizens not just political pals.

Madison has not been so lucky with the leadership out of city hall. Courtney’s near fist fights, never ending stream of law suits and efforts to bully and divide the community has left many upset not just with the city but with him. But, and IMO most significant, is the fact that the Courtney discharged Scott Davidson who had a done a remarkable job in creating and maintaining a strong youth program. It’s probably no coincidence that when Scott left the citys parks program it began a significant downhill spiral. Shortly after Scott left Madison he was picked up by the Town of Hanover. And much to no one’s surprise, Hanover’s program grew rapidly and has not outstripped the parks available resources. Still the public is more interested in using Hanover’s Park and Rec than Madison’s. Fair disclosure- I have never met nor spoken with the current city p/r director but considering Courtney’s meddling- I would say s/he has a tough job- so don’t let my comments convey I think the current city p/r director is doing a bad job- only saying that Davidson ran a broad, popular youth sports/rec program when he was there.

So if the idea is that MCS is struggling because parks and rec programs are off- well that’s only true for Madison, not Hanover; it’s not about population decline, nor is it fair to say its travel teams. Perhaps the issue with MCS is simply MCS. As I recall from my youth sports and high school days- the one person most responsible for developing a quality program was my coach. Hope the info helps those concerned address issues to the right place-people. Tami

2. County parks and where’s the funding for picnic tables. Yes we have a parks board. Seems to be a nice group of guys that meet at Jendys in Hanover. If you need dates and times let me know- I’ll get them for you. The parks board does have funding through a timber deal that was “cut” (pardon my pun) years back. In exchange for allowing certain amounts of timber to be harvested the board is paid around 7.5 thousand a year- give or take. I can get the exact number if you need it. The board must provide for many things – but I am told it is the mowing that eats up the bulk of funding. I think it’s good for citizens to try to find low cost options for government services. Imagine if all our officials elected or appointed, dedicated themselves to such efforts. My first thoughts are our jails. The first time around it was ill conceived, inappropriately placed and essentially a big calamity of errors for which the council promised the tax would be withdrawn when the debt paid off. Next thing you know- we have lots more debt and a massive new structure that only one official as far as I know fought (Commissioner Bramer). He lost the battle but did go down swinging but has since watched Bobby Little spend at every corner. So here we are with the same point- why do some boards and departments get overfunded and the parks and animal shelter get underfunded. We are all so used to the shelter begging for dog food or cat litter and now the parks board is trying to save money by getting a picnic table donated. Its feast or famine for certain departments and so much depends on who knows who and who kisses whoever’s, whatever. In the end the parks board seems to be a decent group of guys, used to operating with little interest from the public and yet trying to deal with a limited budget. The animal shelter has new director that doesn’t steal nor does she deal drugs and so what citizens seem to really want is the county to fund our parks at least a little bit so the board doesn’t have to pinch pennies so tightly and they want our stray dogs and cats to have food and medicine without the shelter staff having to post fund raisers and beg for kitty litter. Maye the county can quit funding Courtneys overspending and send a few bucks to those two worthy departments. Stranger things have happened. Tami

3.
Drama princess- Last but not least- yes rumors are flying that Courtney has come unglued and has decided to put up bullet proof barriers so that no one will shoot him. Personally I’m fond of just voting a person out of office but there are those who think an insurrection or violence is the only way to deal with politicians they don’t like. Being a member of the GOP Bob may now regret several conspiracy posts he plastered on face back in the day when rising up and taking aim at politicians was celebrated- until of course some idiots actually did that. Don’t get me wrong- I’m not advocating for someone to shoot Courtney although I will say Bob didn’t respond nearly as strongly when a member of his own staff threatened to kill certain persons who had gone public about animal cruelty at the animal shelter months back. After all the screaming and threats, dispatch was put on alert to immediately respond to private citizens homes- the staff person who threatened to kill the citizens was never terminated. She may still be taping meetings- I don’t know. Regardless, yes I have copies of the dispatch record detailing that law enforcement should respond immediately.

Anyway, Bobs supposedly all jittery about his personal safety. And Allegations of targeting certain citizens and selective enforcement of historic and building codes have escalated along with official misconduct. Let’s get real here, Bobs misuse of the building inspector and planning office is the stuff of legends. Then again so is the turnover in the building inspector’s position. Anybody know who the guy is this week? And, yes there is a current court action regarding this very issue and yes every month the mayor’s political foes and sometimes even those who simply refuse to be a Bob boy or what some call gal pal get letters too. Those letters threaten all sorts of legal action and fines against persons primarily in the historic district.

Finally, I don’t know where the money will come from if Bob decides to kinda- sort of- “bullet proof” city hall. All I can say is somebody please explain to Bob that if you don’t do the water department and building inspectors office you are ridiculously underpreparing for this imaginary siege. Also let him know city hall windows would need replaced and maybe we need bullet proof vests for Gina and the folks out front. But more importantly he should consider his home and car as well. I mean really, who’s going to go in broad daylight with witnesses and blast through city hall? If looking to make a big scene why not do it during city council with the video running? This is such an overreaction that I can’t even contemplate how we got this far down this rabbit hole. This is too much drama but my guess is has something to do with election year. So those close to him please have him use his own money to place bullet proof windows in his home and car and why not just get an armored car while he’s at it. According to his campaign contributions from a variety of contractors he has plenty of money to afford paying for his protection against imaginary threats.

Is Madison covering up the EDITED thing because he owns a business downtown and his parents own a business on main street? Not sure how you can get away with grooming children without it getting covered up. EDITED is the guy who teaches self defense classes on mulberry st and he admitted to having romantic feelings for a child. It has already been reported to the police so not sure why nothing has been done about this. Possibly Courtney not wanting to make downtown businesses look bad?
