Mentor staff? Yelling at staff, is this his way of mentoring? I'm lost. You should create a positive work environment not create chaos.

He should never provoke a student to hit him. That's his cowardly way of getting a student expelled, instead of working with the kids to help them. What about the new principal yelling at teachers and being very unprofessional towards them? He should've been fired for the way he has screamed at several teachers.

I have no problem with the new principal enforcing the rules. I do have issues with how he is talking to the students. He hounded this poor special needs student who is autistic and has other issues about removing his hood. Then when the kid was exploding got into his face and told him to hit him. The kid then did just that. I thought our principal should have tried to try and defuse the situation not make it worse.

I commend the new principal. He’s trying to clean up from the old principal. Gasaway was never there and when he was, he was avoiding conflict. Or, even playing sunrise during school day…..I know, because I played with him a few times. I like him, but it was not the best. Let’s give the new guy a chance to actually enforce rules and mentor staff. Maybe the ones mad, are the ones that need to be on corrective plans. I bet this one doesn’t ride trolleys or go on poker runs. We need someone professional, give him a chance before you critique.

I too was curious as to why Austin the Main Street Director was sending people to another state. I also wonder what the taxpayers are paying the Main Street Director. She and her husband purchased Spence's home on Main Street.

I would also like to add the selection of bands was not up to par this year for Music in the Park, with the last band cancelling the day of. Wonder what happened to bands like The Crashers or maybe the Rumors? They always drew crowds and everyone enjoyed them.

If I remember correctly her maiden name was Courtney.

I’m really concerned about what is going on at Madison high school and the staff. I have a special needs grandson who attends there. If anyone including staff are bullying special needs students they need to be held accountable.

Curious how involved you are at the school? From what I’ve witnessed and been around, he has simply held most accountable for things Gasaway long ignored. To start the year, I’m quite certain a dress code that had not been enforced for a good while was enforced. Is that bullying? Heaven forbid these kids learn or become accustom to standards waiting on them in the real world. Is a teacher who constantly underperforms and simply isn’t good at their job being held accountable and coached accordingly bullying? Some examples with actual facts would be a nice change of pace versus the “I heard”.

Why is gas in Madison $4.25/gallon and $3.50/gallon in Milton, Bedford and LaGrange? Gas in Jeffersonville is $3.85.

Can someone explain to me why Madison Main St. is promoting Milton, KY businesses? On their destinations for their cookie stops, they skipped over several stores on our Madison Main St. to send people to KY? Really? Assuming Austin is buddies with the girl who owns the boutique or the dated Richwood owner has her nose in things. What a shame that several locations downtown were skipped due to this.
