Madison Voters
Say NO!!
To Fat-Al and the Gang
on referendum

Tuesday, 60% of the voters in the city of Madison rejected a referendum to remove the city's water utility from regulation by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

Madison remains under IURC jurisdiction and protection.

The IURC reviews and approves any rate increases or plans by the municipal water company to incur a debt and protects rate payers and citizens from greedy and wasteful politicians.

The puppets in the Council Circus with their nodding heads and specious specifics voted 6-0 to withdraw from the IURC in January 1997 in its proposed $5.4 million water infrastructure project.

"Madisonian" Clara Alexander, presented a remonstrance petition, stopping the withdrawal cold, allowing for a resounding vote by the citizens.

THEY SAID NO TO FAT-AL and HIS  SYCOPHANTS!!
