You are right! With that attitude they will win again. He will go in there and keep doing what he's been doing because the people of Madison do not know how to vote! They vote for the person they went to school with they don't vote for qualifications. That's why we're in this mess. Vote smart madison! If you're not sure how to vote then do your research! Find out what these people are up to before you vote for them. Spend some time with candidates. Just because you were on the track team with someone on high school is no reason to vote for someone.

Comments: TJH….. Bob needs the solar to make up for the city’s spending. Solar will generate more property tax revenue than anything else going on in the city. Southwestern Schools could use it too if they are taking that much money from education funds to make ends meet. Maybe the county will rethink their position to bail Southwestern out.

Comments: I hope his friends and family do come up with the money. I welcome a trial. I’m sure I will be a big part of it. Rest assured, I will be ready to bring it. I’m sure I will be put on the stand. I’m not afraid of Jennifer Cullotta one bit. All I gotta do is tell the truth.
He will lose friends and families money and get a longer sentence in New Castle if this goes to trial.

Comments: Tried to turn on Vine headed toward the mansion. For those that don’t know that section has one of Bobs big beautiful death traps. Sure enough there was a truck trying to get onto Main as I was trying to turn left. Truck had to back up to let me make the turn without jumping the curb into the muddy flowerless bed. Don’t know who the design group was but we’ve got a pretty bad problem when someone turning off Main. We can’t do it with someone on the side street. How the heck is a fire truck going to make that turn even without someone there . Be extra, extra careful out there people. It’s a good idea to slow down traffic and make things prettier but it’s horrible to that at the expense of risking someone’s life. Just another mess up by Heil Mayor.

Comments: If the Armstrong date is January 25th or 26th is irrelevant at this point. The big question is: Does this Thursday December 4th pretrial really happen. If it happens what transpires at this pretrial. 1. Can Mr. Armstrong produce documentation about his sudden case of Stage 4 cancer? I think it's desperation on his part but who knows. 2. Does he take some sort of plea deal? What is the deal? 3. Does he have money for a trial. When will the actual trial date take place? 4. The ultimate drama will be in court with his high octane attorney, the bulldog prosecutor, the hanging judge, and the people from this community who will have to participate. Personally, I don't think it will get to court. I don't think he has the cash to come up with $40,000 to pay his attorney. He didn't sell his house. He didn't work all this time. I think his close friends have been lazy, stupid, and selfish all these years. They don't have the money and if they did they wouldn't give it to him because they only care about themselves. Deep down they have known he has been guilty all along. They got stupid when this first started and jumped all the way in the boat. Now they have zero chance of triangulating out of the situation. They will have to live with it. The good news things just happen to be moving and this should come to sort of closure.

Comments: I am so sick of the "progress" and vision the mayor has for Madison. Don't get me wrong I agree we need to change with the times, but this man is making Madison unrecognizable. He is destroying the charm of the town and what made it once so unique.
I don't want to live in a Carmel knock off.

Comments: I’ve sent JB a series of documents beginning with the city’s newly proposed UDO -it’s basically Courtney and his klan’s new city ordinances which coincidentally include a section on newly proposed riverfront district which also coincidentally is the same as the extremely unpopular, previously proposed district which would have forced taxpayer subsidized, luxury apartments, in the flood plain for wealthy persons - right smack dab in the heart of the riverfront recreation, festival and park district. The original proposal included at best an inaccurate and at worst falsified grant application to the state READI grant program. As you may recall the cost of the project varied wildly depending upon when the mayor discussed it and who asked. Last best recollection is 12-12.5 million with basically half of the dollars being provided by taxpayers and the other half from the developer who dumped his original company and created a new one around the time the governor smacked IEDC (parent of READI)- and fired local Grote off the state IEDC board - the governor was harsh in his revelations of mismanagement of funds, inappropriate disbursements to buddies and pals and last but not least - self dealing - which is a nice way of describing a very ugly form of embezzlement and theft.
Many in the community wanted to know what the mayors “kickback” would be since he was caught in so many lies and manipulations. Their point was loudly vocal with more than one citizen stepping forward in public meetings and asking point blank, “How much money are you getting Bob.” The number being tossed about is half a million minimum - which according to those who believe is enough for the mayor to retire. Conspiracy theories abound about the daughter and therapy, the addicted son bribing police l and legal fees. Normally such things don’t make it into my updates - so my apologies to Bob and family- but the truth is- the public is outraged and can find no other explanation for Bobs blatant disregard for public opinion. A city councilman’s public survey didn’t help - it showed overwhelming negative even hostility against the proposal. The mayor nor his klan council cared what the public felt or said. So, the proposal passed amidst the outcry and accusations the mayor was “on the take”- and then- off to court every one went. But in an effort to side step the courts - and continue to ignore public opinion-….
….the committee- made up of the same klan members beholding to the mayor - has a new UDO. JB has a copy. It’s a rather long document, full of the usual stuff and several not so usual things. But the top two on the list are the riverfront district and believe it or not - new SOLAR ordinances.
I’ll do my best to review the documents and add some summaries. Until then feel free to send or post questions. I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was wonderful and the holiday season is joyous for all. Tjh
