I worked at the Madison Correctional Facility for six years. Overall, I think it can be a rewarding place to work. However, the State has been sending the Facility a higher level of offender for the past three years. So the perpensity for violence in this setting is going to keep happening. The good news is the Facility is prepared and they have protections in place to keep a riot from affecting the community. Please keep in mind, if you work at the Madison Correctional Facility. There is some form of physical violence that may happen to you. If you pay attention and follow the training nothing will ever happen to you. But you have to follow the protocol. In addtion, there is plenty of backup and weapons available to make any group of offenders tow the line. But I'm not surprised someone got hurt.

Police Chief Shawn Scudder is resigning at the end of the year leave him alone! Mundt is retiring, the new admin will be hired externally, or I'm wronge and the officer employeed by the city of madison, if anyone is left will continued to be tormented until no one is left, I'm baffled the mayor hasn't stepped in sooner!

@Pedro Why does it take 3 City of Madison Police Officers and one Jefferson County Sheriff's Officer to handle a minor rear end collision, even if one driver was intoxicated??? Doesn't make sense!!!

It's ridiculous that these teachers are like making less than the administrators who don't do anything. Shannon Allman has openly confessed that she doesn't have any clue what she's doing. Pretty sad bunch in there.

Today, just before 3pm. I was going across the hilltop going East. When I got backed up in traffic due to a minor rear end collision involving two cars at Clifty drive and highway 7. What's amazing is there were three City Police cars there and one County Police car there. All for for a minor fender bender. WTF. This was an accident that should have been handled by one officer. Why is the City of Madison sending multiply officers to a minor fender bender????
