The SRO at Rykers may have done the right thing in that case. But his performance from what I hear in other areas stinks. You may want get the whole story first.

WoW that's a lot of $$$
Looks like we are heavy in administration salaries.
Teachers are evaluated - who is evaluating admin? Are the evaluations public?
Take off Yancey and Mires. They both went to greener pastures.

Sooooo on the topic of the schools, supposedly the admin office is going after the SRO at Rykers because he spoke up and started an investigation about some inappropriateness between an instructional support personnel and a few students. Supposedly the dude was being a creeper. So the SRO stands up and goes outside the district to make sure it gets taken care of properly especially, since last year there were allegations made against said person and got brushed under the rug, and he is getting push back from Teresa because he went “outside the school”. Well i say kudos to him for standing up and doing the right thing. Of course this is not a topic brought up because it makes her look bad. However they let the creep resign instead of fire him? Shady stuff around here. Thank god there is at least one SRO that will do what’s right!

Admin reply: Look under the rug!

I will do a feasibility study for $40,000. It will be just as accurate, and they will still get what they want.

mm - thanks for the correction. My bad but I still feel we need to take care of the bigger problems that are in all of our buildings not just the high school.
I'm also wondering if there is a place to find out the salaries of the folks that work on Wilson Avenue? I know several are making six figures.

Mr. Rogers, I don’t believe that $60,000 plus is for a feasibility study of the early learning center. I believe that money is for developing plans and determining the cost of what Dr. Brown wants to build. It was awarded to the same company that built the tennis courts.

The grant says a company called Bright Horizon will receive $450,000 for setting up the program.

I would assume Bright Horizon says we need one. Would they really say it’s not needed if they are getting almost half a million dollars?

But that’s ok it’s all grant money. Unless it has to be paid back.

But the school and/or its partners do have to contribute $75,000 according to the document so it doesn’t sound like the school is off the hook all together.
