Today, just before 3pm. I was going across the hilltop going East. When I got backed up in traffic due to a minor rear end collision involving two cars at Clifty drive and highway 7. What's amazing is there were three City Police cars there and one County Police car there. All for for a minor fender bender. WTF. This was an accident that should have been handled by one officer. Why is the City of Madison sending multiply officers to a minor fender bender????

SRO Jacob McVey salary for 2023 $94,806.76!!! Wow!!! Thats mor than the city pays for Chief of Police. What the heck does McVey even do? Most of us never ever see him around. Thats a lot of money that could be put towards educating our children.

What a joke. You just clearly shown you’re in support of the admin building condoning the bull * * * the administration tries to hide. You’re part of the problem. Unless you spend each day in the schools I’m sure your info comes from the “SRO” that is in charge of overall safety. The same one that is not present during any confrontation and will hide behind closed doors afraid of his own shadow. Same reason he couldn’t cut it in DNR. This district is a disaster and it starts it the superintendent. I wonder why she got fired from her last location?

And for my last point, is anyone should be under fire with the whole situation, why is the Principal still employed? The covers ups and non-reporting of these types of situations is a risk to the kids at the school and the teachers having to deal with this. What a complete joke! I’m sure yet another lawsuit will be making its way to the district…

I am 100% pulling my kids out of this district and seeking education elsewhere. I will miss the staff at Rykers, but not the Principal and his shadiness.

The SRO didn’t resign… the employee he investigated was allowed to resign, never got fired. Give the SRO a raise! Parents should be proud and happy he’s there!!
