Given Mayor Bob’s hyper-inflated opinion of himself, I would not be surprised if he plans to unveil a bronze statue of himself to commemorate his greatest achievement as Mayor before he leaves office. There are so many possibilities for where and why to honor our Mayor, so a statue to his legacy seems like a no brainer.
Here are a few locations and achievements that come to mind...
1 - The sidewalk in front of Mayor Bob’s house to commemorate his feud with a citizen over a parking spot.
2 - Anywhere along Main Street to highlight whatever the hell is happening there. You could add in the decision build the death trail to Hanover, but let’s not go crazy.
3 - The apartment building in the flood plain on Vaughn Drive that nobody wants except Bob to signify his ability to surround himself with puppets.
4 - Crystal Beach Aquatic Park to remember the significant cost overrun.
5 - Rucker Sports Complex to commemorate Mayor Bob’s decimation of the summer sports program.
6 - The entrance to the regatta pits to always remind us that the fastest hydroplanes on the water were sold on his watch.
7 - City Hall to remind us that Mayor Bob has become “The Tax Man” to help battle his spending addiction.
Any other suggestions?
Maybe we’ll end up with several Mini-Bobs around town instead of a single Big Bob since there are so many achievements to choose from.
