Fact is the “suitable” range belongs solely to the city. The county should maintain an appropriate area for training. For years Deputies offered their own property for firearms training. That is not right of the county to expect.

The city’s range is fine but the back stop isn’t the best and that area gets busier and busier.

I think folks are vastly over estimating what it will take for the range to be added. Every thing isn’t a one versus the other. I think that’s where we always end up off the rails here.

Hey VMI if you are going to have a photo contest for the best spring picture you’d better be sure the picture you pick is of spring flowers and spring time. Lots of people know that just because a flower is yellow doesn’t mean it’s a spring flower. When you picked yellow cannas on Main Street you picked a late summer flower dipshitz. But it’s a nice photo. lol

Priorities are what we need,we have a suitable gun range for now. But the animal shelter is in no way effective for today's needs. It's a shame they have to ask the public for food and supplies for the animals there. If Little holds the purse strings he ought to be ashamed of himself for letting this happen. Let's put the money where it needs to be. Has Little promised law enforcement a new gun range to get more votes? I sure hope not. I guess if the animals at the shelter could vote maybe it would be the priority.

What are my choices for County Commissioner?

Bobby Little been there too long, no integrity thinks he is king of the hill and never had an idea of his own.

Ray Black has failed as county council, stole from the boys and girls club - not much of a leader.

Rick Berry blindsided us when we were fighting MIDCOR; flipped and changed sides overnight, never explained why but a favor for somebody.

I think all three have traveled in the same boat. You coin flip is your only choice for which one can hold his head high above water.JB

I would love to know why blacks signs are all over in front of the golf course? I thought the golf course was owned by the city!! Even if there’s some kind of fundraiser going on I don’t believe it is correct for a politician to have the signs on city property
