Here's the deal. I don't care if you're republican or democrat. Keep all your far right or far left craziness and give us common sense. Dress appropriately, speak intelligently, be kind, and use common sense. If and when you do get elected remember the people put you there. Not special interest groups or one person. Finally...don't spend money that isn't there and then expect to tax your way out of a mess.

We have got to get back to common sense. The world has gone crazy.

To thh… Does the Clifty Drive work to uncover man hole covers relate to how bumpy it is along that new pavement? I hope so. Can’t believe new pavement is so bumpy, and would be left that way for years.

This is entirely the voters fault. We have let this city, county, state become ruled by one political party.

The political parties choose the candidates and they are gonna choose the insider.

We the voters have allowed ourselves to become manipulated into voting for only one political party instead of using our critical thinking skills and voting for the person that best represents our interests.

So smile - this is what we allowed to happen. :o

I love all these comments claiming they won't vote for certain people. All they need is an R after their name and you will vote for no matter how many times they put the screws to you because you can't see through their lying bullsheet. You can't grasp the fact that it's all about them and money.

Another branch water line break today- on Main Street near Analog Coffee has been reported. I don’t know if boil water advisories went out with yesterday’s break across the street or today’s. Might go ahead and just be careful out there- don’t drink the water .

I believe the Clifty drive construction company is headed back to uncover all the man hole covers they paved. But I haven’t seen them doing anything recently. I’ve been told the city received a 900,000. bill for their share of something on Clifty drive. I’m guessing sidewalks since they have been on the tif plan for numerous years and we now have them. Foot traffic has been next to nothing with a few pedestrians and a couple of-lost dogs . So while it may have seemed like a super duper idea at the time- so far pedestrians aren’t t keen on walking near busy traffic and playing whack a mole (person) as they dodge those pulling in and out of parking lots.

Yes congressional candidate Peck will be in town. Nice family guy that happens to be an emergency room doctor. He could probably answer questions about impact of defunding Medicaid programs on some Indiana health care premiums. West Virginia is expected to be hit hardest since they have a ton of Medicaid and when its lost those that still have insurance will pay a PROJECTED - increase somewhere around 200-300%. I don’t have data for SE Indiana but Peck might. No word from other dem candidates or independents. Ms Houchin avoid crowds in between blindly following instructions out of DC so if on some odd chance she pops up from hiding ask her whatever you want - except Epstein files.

Mayor’s in hot water again - or maybe he’s just staying there - this time on the budget for swindling taxpayers with a food and beverage tax for parks and rec. when It turns out the new tax wasn’t to help offset Council woman Krebs poor management of a nonexistent park program that exceeded budget by somewhere of 400k - it was so he could use the new tax dollars to subsidize his heavy spending in other areas. Basically he stole money from parks and rec to cover shortfalls in the general fund and then replaced it with a new tax. People aren’t that stupid Bob.

Rumor has it Kevin Kellems is violating all sorts of ethical standards and conflict of interest declarations. He works for Temple and Temple the contractor out of Salem that pizzed off a bunch of citizens in Salem for interfering in an open bid process. Anyway- Kellems is supposedly working hard to hide dirty deeds associated with local city and county projects where Temple gets the contract. No word on how much Kellems gets on the side for helping Temple and Temple get projects like the trail connector to Clifty Park or the newly named Dog Abuser Housing Project yet to be announced. Temple and Temple paid the bail and hotel and meal costs for the accused so they could be first in line to buy the land. With Kellems help and promises of Tif funds and Readi grant dollars - Temple looks to make some good dollars off their bail and hotel money investment even after they kick some back to Kellems for his “consulting”.

Most importantly - the Riverfront legal action gave the go ahead to the attorney out of Indy who is already on retainer to move forward. Jenner has already surrendered and called in big guns to help him fight off the mess caused by lies, errors , misconduct etc etc on the part of the city, mayor and plan commission.

Dems have four new candidates for city council. Wilbur says he’s not running. Some say he hid from the Riverfront vote. Datillo will not be elected if she runs. 50-50 shot on Storm and Schafer if they run. Krebs can’t win in an at large race . Barlett retires supposedly - Thevenow got a standing ovation and looks to be the next mayor if he runs. Dem and Republican support run deep for him.

Have a wonderful day-thh

What a crock coming from sticky fingers courtney. Instead of cutting the deputy clerks position how about the non effective created deputy mayor position? How do you tell ehen Courtney is lying ? When his lips move

To the Judas that voted at the mayor's pleasure. I really feel sorry for you and the mayor. Your souls have been bought and paid for in full, I imagine being soul less you'll not having any trouble sleeping at night. As for the mayor possibly running up state we know that it won't be by election he will have to be appointed. I dare say anyone that would appoint him be it the governor or otherwise will never ever have the support of the majority of Madison voters. A sad day for Madison indeed

@Granny Please tell us what government entity up state that would want Mayor Bob?? My understanding is Mayor Bob is not respected upstate. Governor Braun couldn't even make it to the Madison Regatta. Unlike paste Governor's in the past. By the way it's called the Governor's Cup Race. Once Bob leaves as Mayor, he will become a has been. Especially after all the details become public on his spending and the way he worked to hide the financial records. Watch and See. Also Little Tony's ambitions are screwed also!!!

Let me get this straight. So the Mayor and his six stooges worked against a supermajority of the Madison people last night. Then they went to Shipleys to celebrate.

If this is true. Really shows the type of people we have been dealing with. They stoop lower and lower at every turn.
