• Let’s be real — golf carts aren’t ruining anything.
They help older folks, families, and people who don’t wanna burn gas just to grab dinner downtown. It’s small-town life, not Indy 500.

• If parking’s a mess, that’s on the city.
We’ve got like two handicap spots per block and no clear cart zones. Don’t blame the drivers — fix the layout.

• Most cart owners aren’t reckless.
We’ve got lights, flags, mirrors, and we follow the rules. A couple idiots don’t represent everybody — same as cars, trucks, or bikes.

• They actually make traffic better.
One less truck or SUV idling downtown means cleaner air and quieter streets. Sorry, but that’s a win for everybody.

• Chill with the drama.
Calling neighbors “cockroaches”? Come on. This isn’t a crisis — it’s people trying to enjoy a nice evening ride. Maybe just wave next time instead of writing an essay.

gotta agree with last post. zero enforcement on carts. They are all the way out to eagle hollow camp sites usually late leaving the bars. Once the new golf cart path to Hanover is complete they will be everywhere. They tell me hatcherhill is golf cart path now, not sure

Just something more on golf carts. Why can't they Park in a regular spot. Why do they have to park in a regular spots all over the place, and take up handicap parking. I was downtown with handicap brand the other night and was going to stop in and eat at one of the restaurants downtown, and every single handicap spot in front of the building was taken up by about 6:00 or 7 different golf carts. Do they not have to follow the rules. My friend had a terrible time getting into the restaurant. And all those people look perfectly capable of coming and going as they chose. It was all I could do not to say anything. But where are the cops that's what I want to know. They're out on the highways, they're out after dark you can barely see them. Is it going to take something like one of them getting hit by a car and hurting somebody and then maybe the police will step up and do their job. And now thanks to Bob we'll have a lot less police out on the road. Hey Madison police force do your job! Do something with these golf carts in there inability to read parking signs, and give them a ride at for being out on State highways, and out after dark when they're not supposed to be. At this point I'm not asking anymore. As a citizen I'm demanding that someone get out there and do something about these golf carts that are out there all over the place like a bunch of cockroaches.

Scudder wouldn’t bend over and be a yes man for Mayor Bobby so he got the axe. Bob’s micromanaging in the police department has killed morale.

Search for TWIGS Investment LLC on the INBiz, Indiana business entity web search. TWIGS stands for the TumbleWeed Investment Group. The registered agent is Chris Fordyce who is on the Our Southern Indiana RDA board along with Ken's associate Kevin Kellems. What is interesting about TWIGS is that Ken Temple of Temple & Temple is also a member and business partner with Chris Fordyce. Chris Fordyce has voted positively to award Ken Temple almost a million dollar grant in Charlestown for Aspen Meadows and close to another million in Pekin for Riley Estates through grant funds. Chris has no conflict-of-interest statements on file with RDA. Now it seems from previous posts that Ken has Kevin are working on a "deal" for grant funding after bailing out the animal abuser and negotiating the sale of his property.

The contractor Temple & Temple has no regard for anyone but themselves. They are rude and do not even make an effort to think about the local residents.
