Comments: Heard Madison is joining a conference. Rumor is it costs money. Someone call a board member and see it it’s worth paying money for that instead of putting money toward teacher salaries.

Comments: Madison should take a play out of scottsburgh play book. Down sizing where needed...like the police force. Spend on essentials and care for their citizens. Madison has turned into a police state for the selected few.

Comments: Vet…Have you looked at Legacy Foundation website?? Money granted for last 2 years is listed by agency receiving, amount, and need. Several Veteran agencies have been helped. If you think courts help abused children, please do further research. Courts may remove child from home, but where do they go from there? I see no grants for an abuse center. I will call them Monday and follow up. Maybe you should too.

Comments: Madison first. Like everything else. People turn a potential good thing into a cash cow. Children advocacy building is excepting state grants...city grants...donations...Bethany legacy foundation gave the place hundreds of thousands...typical democratic spending and waste. Don't schools have these facilities. Don't courts handle these child abuse cases?

Comments: Shane...there are not enough children to consider a YMCA. So how is it that Bethany legacy foundation finds building a children's abuse center for 15 million a good idea? Good scam huh...anything for poor abused children...lol...or are there that many abusive parents in madison?

Comments: @ Vet, perhaps you should talk to the Children's Advocacy Office and ask for a tour and talk with them about the types and number of children coming though their doors for services. My guess is that you will be gobsmacked by the numbers and the stories. It takes a village and much of our village is distracted, addicted or down right mentally ill. Thank goodness there is some place in town trying to help.

Comments: Can anyone enlighten me as to the new traffic flow on clifty drive? I was driving to Papa John's westbound and the one lane was backed up I might add and the next lane between the right lane and center lane which was the old turn lane was being stenciled with arrows. So is the flow pattern copied from the screwed up downtown pattern? I thought everything was going smoothly until someone foolishly wanted to fix it

Comments: Shane....not that I don't like children. But that is just the latest scam to spend the counties money. A place this size doesn't need all these facilities .there is an illegal migrant children's place by that school downtown. The children's advocacy office that cost twice ad much to build then it is worth? And no children will even go there? Now they planning a 15 million dollar children facility on hill for abused children all being built by the money that is for the mental and addicted people of Jefferson county...I think the people should vote for these things....lol...instead of a group of appointed what evers?
