Just about ready to get an out of town doctor. I realize KDH is switching over the system and I have been very patient, but I have been trying to refill a prescription for two weeks and have called several times and waited 20-30 min. to talk to someone who promised it would be taken care of. Guess what, still no order to pharmacy. Maybe I should go to the doctor office and grab the nurse when she calls a patient in. Last person I spoke with told me patients will no longer be able to call into their doctor's office and speak with them. That will be a tough process to navigate.

Which downtown business closed? Some of us don't know everything going and it's nice if you include the particulars.

To Betty:

What’s the thought now. You were so glad the schools were worried about the well being of the students. Now it’s sub zero temperatures and they have kids standing outside. Lack of consistency seems to be here. Makes no difference to me since my child gets dropped off, but all those kids standing outside today waiting for a bus doesn’t seem as safe as you’d want them to be. Guess the schools make their determination over personal preference as I was trying to say the week there was no school and the last day that they canceled because it was cold.

For such a small town. It makes no sense to build it like a metropolis except to spend money. Which means paying people for un needed projects. Dare we say over inflaited prices...stealing...corruption...did we vote these people in? Or were they appointed to govern our money? Seems like small group of government people buying nice cars...have expensive houses? Etc...etc...

Plans for John Paul Park are being crafted with the DAR who have overseen that park since its creation. It is a long term plan that will be implemented and rely mostly upon private donations to fund the upgrades while still respecting the park itself.

The proposed park/walking trail at Miles Ridge is in the 5 year parks master plan, along with a host of other parks projects. The master plan is available on the City’s website, along with the projected cost.
Currently John Paul Park is to undergo upgrades. I wonder what the upgrades look like and what the cost will be?This park is off the beaten path, doesn’t have a great view of anything and the city placed several benches in the park last year. Let’s just leave it alone.
John Paul Park is the site of an old city cemetery with many bodies remaining buried there. Let’s honor the remains of the people buried there by leaving the park as is.

Oh my goodness another park proposal for a park at Miles Ridge, with the parks dept over a half a million in the hole so do we need to build another park? I think we need to curb the spending and maintain what we have. The city can't even keep the bathrooms on main street clean, I think we need to hire people to take care of what Madison has before adding more. The kids play sports in the summer at Hanover park. Are there any kids teams even playing at the complex on the hilltop?
The city needs to deal with the homeless problem and keeping them from using the public bathrooms as their personal bathing place.
As far as the new dollar general grocery some of their prices are outrageous on the groceries. It's great for a quick something but I still have to shop on the hilltop to save money. I for one can't afford their prices.
