A has-been actor comes to town with a gold digger wife and acts like they're doing us a favor gracing us with their presence, and when things don't go their way they threaten to leave town? I didn't know they were here until the behemoth RV invaded city property, and didn't care. We're dodging a bullet if they take their toys and go elsewhere, lest the town get a reputation as a haven for celebrities with enough money to buy and sell the city government and ruin what little is left that hasn't had a price tag put on it.

Hard to believe anyone would accuse mr grooms of being dishonest, he has been a outstanding business man in the Madison community for most of his adult life.

You may want to take a actual look at the original articles of incorporation for MMI. Clearly a City of Madison endeavor. Registered agent was city employee, with address at City Hall. Principle office is Mayor's Office, City Hall, Madison Indiana. Assets that were both donated to the City of Madison and equipment the City of Madison purchased were also generally itemized right on the incorporation documents. Not only that but there used to be a city account on the boosk of a non reverting fund specifically for holding any monies appropriated to or donated to the racing team and boat. Those funds were only spent with the authorization of the Board of Public Works and the MMI board of directors. Again, a Madison Indiana entity. If it's not, the citizens and anyone that ever donated to that boat got swindled big time.

Dee dee and John are threatening to leave Madison because people are complaining about their rv being parked in the new parking lot on the river front. Dee Dee posted that they offered to pay to park it there. Did they pay? If so, how much? Is the city so broke that we are offering tv storage for a fee? If so, where do I find the fee schedule? Or did broke Bob give them special permission? Can anyone pay to park long term? Or just has been movie stars?
I tried to find the ordnance on long term parking in pubic parking lots but find navigating the city website cumbersome.

You honestly have no clue how any of that works. The boats were leased by the city to MMI. The chairman of the board is supposed to to approve all board members through the mayors office. Charlie never did that. Charlie sold leased equipment which is illegal.

Get facts straight before spewing nonsense.

Wasn’t Mayor Bob sold to the community as a business savant with the heart of a lion?

Seems like he doesn’t know anything about budgeting. Needs to dump Dominic and John Grote from all local boards. Their lavish spending is bankrupting Madison.

It appears as if the mayor has slandered and libeled MMI board members. Courtney has falsely claimed the board sold City property without permission. The truth is MMI has always been a free standing 501c3 charity and in full control of their own assets and finances. Tax records clearly indicate all assets are the property of MMI - the city does not own the boat , tools, trailers nor control cash. Nor is there a line item in the city budget that shows revenue and expense for Miss Madison.

Here’s my thoughts on the mayor complaining after the MMI deals done saying he fired all the board members and is going to save the day. Reminds me of the park department fiasco where nearly 600 grand was flushed into Bobs hair brain schemes and then he fires the park director after he neglected to monitor city finances. So here we are with another board Bob 100% controls and just like the city parks there’s money problems. Bob jumps around and doesn’t do anything besides blame everybody else for the MMI problems. When in fact Bob never bothered taking a look at anything , not ever with MMI in all his years as mayor . So it’s not anyone’s fault but his. The buck stops with the guy that was supposed to be monitoring everything and making sure the money and decisions were handled right. I’m sick of his blame game and emotionally hysterics. Bob needs to learn to stand up like a man and take responsibility for his poor oversight.
