When they started the Pace grants it was a good policy.But now under this administration it has been abused by the elite. Once again this another in a long list of one man overstepping his position. The third,fourth generation residents do not have a voice anymore. This present administration is about their tourist and loudmouth transplants that come here and want things to benefit them.

Pacer; I agree with you. I know for a fact we have people who are receiving Pace grants who are not living in the homes but using them as airbnbs or flipping them. These people do not have our City's best interest in mind. It's time they put a cap on the airbnbs. This is why we do not have any homes for our local residents. In addition to the grants, blighted homes affect our property value. These rules need to be enforced fully. I live down the street from a house that is in pretty poor shape. The owned by one of our own City councilman. It seems that the rules are only for few but not for all. Just like the rules downtown don't apply to the rules on the hilltop. It's time everybody understands that these rules are for all and it's time that the city enforces them.

Maybe the policy for the Pace board should be if you sell the property within 10 yrs you should give Pace grant money back to Pace. That way they would have more money to help more people. And maybe frustrate flippers and developers from doubling their profits! Remember where the money comes from.

Why would anyone want speed humps on the streets?Indiana law allows for speed control with radar signage. after the speeders get a few $200 tickets, they most likely slow down.

Another sad day in our country. How many school shootings do you have to be before the people running our school understand the danger we are in every single day? We are all aware of at least three unsecured doors at Madison High school. There are similar doors at the Junior high. Last year the school ignored a teacher's request to remove a student permanently because the student was constantly threatening to bring a gun to school to shoot her. She quit her job. They don't take emergency lock down drills seriously. Within just a few minutes after it starts it's over. They don't even bother to come around and check the doors to make sure that all the rooms are locked. Many of the classroom doors are left open all day for anyone to come and go. They have been told this is against state law but they've allowed it to go on. The main doors are wide open at the beginning and the end of every day. Make no mistake about it folks, this could easily happen here!
