Welp Jerry Wade may have moved out of town but he’s still the same old drama queen he always was. Seems poor Jerry thinks a none disclosure agreement on purchase price means it isn’t public record. But just like his idea that his plans submitted to the state for remodeling could be kept secret he’s wrong AGAIN.  Jerry was p’oed to find everybody knew he was trying to cheat on public safety and cut corners right after he bought the place but couldn’t because the state got wind he was lying. Anyway for 1,180,000.00. (One million one hundred eighty thousand) you could have bought the property.  Anyway welcome to the new folks at Mad Paddle! They sure are better than the mayor’s old * * * buddy. Good riddance to a thief and liar who scammed the city and Covid funds for close to a million. Bobs gonna miss those kisses on his backside cheeks.

To the people who think Bob Courtney picks the PACE recipients clearly haven't even been to the PACE meetings before, recipients are picked by a board of people that Bob Courtney isn't even on, not to mention the PACE is not a handout, as you must spend money in order to receive anything, totalling anywhere from 10 to 50,000 dollars spend before you get any back from the grant. I'm not sure who exactly yoire complaining about but the whole point of pace is to aid building owners in the historical preservation of buildings, which gets more and more expensive as buildings age.

Concerning the pace grant. When I went to apply I was told that there were no more grants for my area. The East end. Well alrighty then but I know of 2 parties that received pace grants took the money and have since sold their homes and moved away. So much for the people that want to stay here

Democrats did a coat drive and helped lots of people. Salvation Army had homeless people in dirty clothes and filthy faces ringing bells at Walmart. No wonder they can’t get any donations. But who cares the “army” only works Monday-Friday and no holidays so Madison’s poor better only be needy during bankers hours.

Not only did Courtney give pace money to people who didn’t qualify he took it from poor people that needed the help . Leave it to Bob to steal from the poor and give to the rich. Truth is a ton of pace money has gone to out of towners for air bnb who also coincidently gave back to Bobs campaign.

Downtown shops are deep in trouble. Rumor has it most are 50%~70% off last years Christmas sales. A couple are up in the 80%decline. Still you can tell which businesses are kicking * * * because they are all lit up and beautiful.

Everybody misses Dave Kidwell, seems the city can’t manage to get lights on poles or any sculptures on the riverfront without him. The Broadway fountain ain’t what it used to be with trees draped instead of wrapped and Main Street is dark and dingy. Wheres the Christmas spirit,
Carolers and characters. Wasn’t Main Street supposed to be leading on all that or are they just sitting in their office eating cookies again?

To: how do you feel

Mr. Rodney walked into a dream job because Mr Yancey had everything in good order. Are there places that need some attention? Of course there are. There are places in the schools that haven't been changed or upgraded ever.

As far as the daycare is concerned, no we don't need it! If you look at the statistics we don't have that many people working there who have young children. You're right! It is a waste of money and it's going to cost us. That money would be better spent giving raises to teachers and enticing teachers to come here. I still have a few years before I retire but it seems further and further away every day. I love teaching but they take the fun out of it for all of us. We shouldn't have to play office politics in a classroom. We should be able to teach like we used to teach. We go in, we teach the best way we can to get through to the students and we go home. At the end of semester we submit our grades and we go home. You would be very shocked with how much time we put into our jobs..
