Comments:
Perhaps Councilwoman Krebs spoke a little too soon with her comments on the zoning change a few weeks ago. She should be applauded if recent comments are true that she will listen to her constituents. That is the way it is supposed to work. Hopefully other council members hear the news and follow her lead.

Heard Chief Scudder is no longer Chief as of Friday. Anyone got
More details on what happened. Hearing the mayor was furious with him and sent him packing.

Councilman Storms public session has started. 35 total persons representing a mix of democrats and republicans- mostly republicans- which doesn’t mean much since most of the town is GOP. Still, I recognize the majority are republicans . Good mix of Hilltop and downtown and all council districts . Storm is sometimes answering questions and sometimes debating and sometimes simply adding information or sharing his philosophy to each speakers comments. A different approach from Mr. Thevenow’s approach but neither good nor bad.

A few comments are drawing the smalls group ire. Richard Ice spoke of how the city moved forward hiding all pertinent information. He pointed out the plan commission never asked a single question before voting in favor. Ice’s strong concerns garnered a great deal of applause . His points basically cornered Storm into a situation where Mr. Ice suggested council vote the district down and start over.

No difference with this group- than past—-vast majority are against the citys’s lack of transparency, dishonest conduct, rapid push for substantial change, broken promises etc etc. more later tjh

If main Street sent a letter in support to the mayor it's official that they are toast with the citizens and the downtown merchants. The rest of those city originations are smart enough to stay quiet because they don't want to lose funding. I know that for a fact. That came direct from a couple of those organizations. I can tell you that they have their opinions and it's not the same one as main street. I will say that I've heard Carla eads say that she would do water constituents want. I don't know why that would change now. She's always had her nose up the mayor's rear end. I also find it funny that Julie Thevenow seems very concerned about this even though she is known for renting properties that are less than satisfactory. That's the nice way to put it.

Chat gtp says Facebook surveys shouldn’t be taken as statistically reliable or a representative of the general public. Josh Schaefer says Turkeys can fly and are particularly useful for Radio Promotions around Thanksgiving.

Main St sent a letter in support to the Plan Commission. When Bob pays their executive director’s salary with a budget line item do we really expect them to say anything contrary to what he wants?

So where does the Chamber, Main Street, VMI, Riverfront Development Committee, Historic Madison, etc., stand regarding the proposed riverfront apartment project? Don’t believe I’ve heard an official statement from any of them.

@to confused. Golf carts are already being charged $25.00 yearly by the City. For those of us who own Low Speed Vehicles, which look like golf carts, but have license plates. We will not only have to pay the the yearly $25.00 from the City, we will also have to pay the City and County wheel tax, if passed. Please understand that the wheel tax only applies to vehicles that are registered and licensed with the Indiana BMV. Hope that helps.

I'm under the impression that unfortunately golf carts will not have to pay the city wheel tax. How convenient. Another shenanigan by Courtney to cater to his cronies. When does this end?
