Comments: @to confused. Golf carts are already being charged $25.00 yearly by the City. For those of us who own Low Speed Vehicles, which look like golf carts, but have license plates. We will not only have to pay the the yearly $25.00 from the City, we will also have to pay the City and County wheel tax, if passed. Please understand that the wheel tax only applies to vehicles that are registered and licensed with the Indiana BMV. Hope that helps.

Comments: I'm under the impression that unfortunately golf carts will not have to pay the city wheel tax. How convenient. Another shenanigan by Courtney to cater to his cronies. When does this end?

Comments: No one will ever use that walkway to walk to or from Madison. It's a total waste of money.

Comments: two thoughts, coming into Madison from ky the first thing you see is a stone wall that looks like a trailer park entrance. Why wasn't local stone used? It doesnt match anything. Comment no. 2---the walking trail to Hanover is the biggest waste of time and money even under Courtney standards. Walk to Hanover ? This is a future golf cart road and that's been the plan since day one.Notice at first golf carts were only to be allowed in small areas, their limits grow daily. You can see them all the way to eagle hollow for instance.

Comments: Standing room with just a dash over 200 persons for Patrick Thevenow’s Riverfront Rezoning meeting. Lots of additional concerns were addressed. Patrick allowed all citizens to speak as long as they needed and if they needed to speak a second or third time he allowed them to do so. The crowd was very friendly and cordial. Patrick answered questions when he had answers and was honest enough to admit he didn’t have answers instead of passing out meaningless words. (Bullshitz)
I can’t really tell you who officially is hosting the 6-9pm Saturday evening meeting over this Labor Day weekend. I suspect it will not be well attended with such late notice, little information on social media and no notice from organizer/s. In addition so many persons are either leaving Friday for extended weekend plans or hosting family and friends for the Labor Day weekend. I’m unable to even confirm who is leading the meeting. It could be district 5 councilman Joel Storm or possibly Democrat Chair Ed Stigal. Joel was very helpful and explained he was asked to procure the room which he was more than happy to do. I’ve no idea who will chair the meeting. Perhaps there will be a mediator. - I did not get a reply from Ed when he was messaged. I don’t know of any other city council will be present but Mr. Storm plans to be there. I’m sure he would appreciate hearing from citizens- especially those in his district.
No I do not have information on Mr. Schafer’s survey. I will try to find out what date they will close submissions and will request results. The survey is public record.
You’ll need to like Bowen Developments page on Facebook if you wish to take them in comments . I’ll try to the contact information form Jeff to post but I do know it’s on the riverfront defense page. Tjh

Comments: @Duh let me enlighten you some. Apartments have been bought, updated, and sold for profits everywhere. I should know I was part of the process. Otherwise if what you say it would never change owners would it?

Sorry your plan won't work. You can't buy and flip apartments, they are for rent. I'm glad you are not making financial decisions for the city.

Comments: Sounds like the county council is rightfully pissed at the city council for hitting us in the city with the maximum charge for the wheel tax. This is resulting in the county having to propose the minimum charge for the tax. But then again if we would stop bending to Governor Eva Braun we wouldn't be in this spot now would we?
