Gotta give it to Tony steinhardt Jr pushing for the death trail up Hanover Hill. This mornings big crash and back up only goes to show you that it’s ignorantly unsafe to plan on a trail where rockslides are common. Not to mention the serious accidents and fatalities every year. Nothing like playing kill the college kids and moms with babies with vehicles heading around blind turns with a step drop off and cars who veer left and right trying to avoid another accident. Vote for death trails, tariffs and abusing our veterans! What a joke.

recent language by the city about forcing people to sell their properties by penalties and harassment is a scary thing. Under these rules the saddletree place would have been torn down 90 years ago a long with many other properties now considered landmarks. little bob is turning our town into a place that only out of Towner's can afford.

A friend of mine told me that the mayor was having the Regatta office torn down. Is this right? I didn't know the mayor had that authority.

I see they have decided to get rid of the speed bumps on first street.....Mistake!! Chief Scudder said there are three stop signs on this road...makes no difference if nobody stops at them !!! I never see an officer in this area of town. The speed bump at least slows cars down going down the hill. Its to bad these were a great safety precaution and have to be taken out. if traffic was as bad in front of their houses they would want something done!! Mr. Thevenow stated one is busted and the center... get rid of it but the other actually serves a purpose. He is our rep. and support him BUT not the decision of the BPWS!

People talk about drinking or running around. I’m not sore what’s wrong with our mayor but he sure looks like he’s not feeling very good. I’m not a fan of the unshowered and unshaven look but it’s more than that. I’m not a political fan of the guy but he is a human being that apparently needs to get some help. Passing some prayers his way .

The county and ISP took over the investigation to my knowledge. A PD can't/won't release a statement on a case they aren't in charge in. I did see where they shared a post about the arrest that originated from Jefferson County PD. I don't know details but I am assuming they knew the suspect and was trying to locate him, which they did in KY.

If people of Madison want more from City government. Yes, the Courtney regime needs to go. More important, everyone of those do nothing City Council people need to be voted out. They have given all the power to Courtney. They could stop a ton of this stuff. Instead, they just rubberstamp everything. Nobody ever questions anything proposed they just sit there and vote for whatever the man wants. Madison needs Council people to ask the hard questions and demand more.
