Tonight at the planning commission meeting Courtney flat out lied about transparency concerning the condoms also talking about millions invested in Madison. What an a$$ what is there to show for all those supposed millions? I'd like to know if the Courtney council boys that voted for the illegal resolution have businesses in the community. I'd sure as he!1 boycott them. If I had an emoji for the Courtney salute (middle finger) I'd give it. Lawsuits are coming and we'll end up paying for it

Citizens are furious. By far anti comments ruled with very few of the mayor’s buddies tossing in pro comments. Great points by Bob Candida who made clear that 90% of citizens are against this riverfront district that allows the large apartment development to consume the entire corner of Vaughn-Jefferson. Standing ovation for Doc Jones who stood strong against destroying the beauty of the riverfront. I wish I could name everyone. But the most serious points were made by Warren Auxier who made it clear the commission is acting illegally on numerous issues. He also made it clear that court action could and likely would follow if the commission continued to act illegally.

Couple of things of which I am unsure. I don’t know if the neighboring properties to the development have been notified that the project requires a five foot easement into their land. I don’t know if Rebar Development knows the major outcry or not. I truly believe they have no idea of the shenanigans and dishonest manner in which the board members and city attorney have conducted themselves this evening. But I also don’t know if that misconduct will matter to them. I have no idea if they will frown upon our commissions dirty deeds or simply go all in for profit. As of tonight the city has no legal ordinances to govern a riverfront district on which the board will vote

I’m in attendance at the plan commission meeting this evening there was a major issue - the commission learned the city’s application was illegal. In an unfortunate turn of events- the plan commission renamed their application a “resolution” in an effort to push things through. They further reduced the allowable time to speak to only 2 minutes - as it works out barely enough time to give name address and a few sentences. Sadly an illegal meeting was held prior to the “hearing” to plot methods to overcome the legal restraints established in our city ordinances to prevent the city from doing exactly what the city is doing. I will be listing board members names again. I’ll get back with more info later but at this time the plan commission met in an illegal meeting to concoct an excuse to move forward with an illegal application. Tjh

The building will be mixed use so it can qualify for some grant money. Guarantee, the river view units will go to Madison elites for rental properties. They won’t give a * * * about the low income housing on the back side since they don’t have to live next to them. Renters won’t know. The difference until the low income housing residents begin harassing them for money, etc.

That is my fear as well, but we don't know if these are going to be apartments or condos for certain as that also keeps changing. Whatever the case is, if that building comes into existence, there needs heavy language in the contracts about no sub-letting. It's bad enough half of downtown is already AirBNBs.

If riverfront apartments are approved, the city will need to pass a new tax to fund the purchase of water rescue equipment, training, etc. it’s not a matter of if it will flood, but when. Then we will have to rescue the Low income” tenants on the back side of the proposed development.

The Riverfront units will be sold to local elites to operate as Air B&B rentals.
What brilliant business man would use your city’s most beautiful asset for low income housing? It’s a ruse to get some grant money.

Poor Courtney is so upset about the constant bashing on social media. Bob if your reading this post. I'm sure you will. Here is a message for you:
STOP MESSING WITH THE WAY OF LIFE WE HAVE HERE!
You brought this on because of your bullheaded ways.
Your not the king. Madison isn't yours. It is
all the people who live within the City Limits. You
work for us!
If you want the social media posts to go away. Just resign and move to another country. I bet Mexico will take you.
