The Miss Madison boats, raced every year at the Madison Regatta, are gone according to the Madison, Indiana mayor.

He said the Miss Madison board sold the boats without permission.

Madison officials have the policy if no one complaines then it's OK to do. They have kept the public out of everything. Which then creates opportunity for people to take advantage. Whether it be embezzlement or fraud? Like the children's advocacy center . Cost 500 k to rebuild. And only worth 200k? What is that? And what does the place do? No children go there..my guess is just future funding from the state. People too greedy.

Seems like alot of people don't know the inter workings of MMI. Which includes a list of family members free access to rooms, food events, most likely free air transportation while some of the mechanics who donated their time were left at home.People who given the royal treatment and never saw the Miss Madison shop. And believe me they had some really good mechanics. Too mafreeloaders on the guest list.
Why do you think Home Town dropped the sponsorship. Need to get their side in this.
And get Clifty Engineering in on this.alot of nonsense going on for years. It finally caught up. And now a silent AUCTION. Follow the money trail. Let's see who got the cash.

I don't care about the Has Been Actor even living here. He is broke and she's a gold digger. Why not take their RV to an actual RV storage center? They are literally everywhere. I hope they leave.

Congrats to Miss Madison for selling all of her assets. Hopefully, they got enough to cover their liabilities. The sport has been dying for years - down to less than handful of boats and race sites per year.

Miss Madison’s biggest problem was knowing when to quit. The fatal decision was when Miss Madison decided to build a new boat and then decided to start operating a 2nd team to “save” the sport. Expenses exploded.

The worst thing that this Mayor could do is spend money to put a non-competitive Miss Madison on the River to race.

A has-been actor comes to town with a gold digger wife and acts like they're doing us a favor gracing us with their presence, and when things don't go their way they threaten to leave town? I didn't know they were here until the behemoth RV invaded city property, and didn't care. We're dodging a bullet if they take their toys and go elsewhere, lest the town get a reputation as a haven for celebrities with enough money to buy and sell the city government and ruin what little is left that hasn't had a price tag put on it.

You may want to take a actual look at the original articles of incorporation for MMI. Clearly a City of Madison endeavor. Registered agent was city employee, with address at City Hall. Principle office is Mayor's Office, City Hall, Madison Indiana. Assets that were both donated to the City of Madison and equipment the City of Madison purchased were also generally itemized right on the incorporation documents. Not only that but there used to be a city account on the boosk of a non reverting fund specifically for holding any monies appropriated to or donated to the racing team and boat. Those funds were only spent with the authorization of the Board of Public Works and the MMI board of directors. Again, a Madison Indiana entity. If it's not, the citizens and anyone that ever donated to that boat got swindled big time.
