I called the Humane Society about John Scott. They told me to call county animal control and then get back with them to tell them what happened. No one from dispatch would let me talk with animal control. They said they would have him call. After a week of no call back I called again. And got the same answer and the excuse that they’d had told him. The humane society called back to check and I told them he wouldn’t take my call. The lady at the Humane Society said I should call Sheriff Flint and report both the problems with dispatch, animal control and the Scott dog problem. She explained the society is not law enforcement but could help with care for the dogs of animal control would remove them. I called the sheriffs office. They wouldn’t let me talk to him. I left a message twice and never got a reply. Mr. Scott neglected his animals but there’s no doubt that count law enforcement from animal control to dispatch right straight to the sheriff just let it happen. So we need a new animal control officer, someone better at dispatch and a sheriff that cares.

Germans: it would be extremely upsetting to know that this horrible abuse was reported years ago and nothing was done. In fact, I think a vigilante would have done something about it. I cannot believe anyone would allow this to continue however perhaps the full extent of this horror was not known until they actually went to the home.

Paul Geyman is useless . He’s never on the job just driving around with his kid or sitting at Walmart. He’s known for years. I know because I called 7 plus years ago on John Scott. Half the town has called. I can hear him now saying on one ever complained. I say can him and elect a new sheriff for letting this go on.

I realize the outrage over the animal abuse and neglect is boiling over. I understand that many people called county animal control officer Paul Geyman and that nothing was ever done. I understand some called city animal control and nothing was ever done. There is no doubt the problem has been ongoing for many years. The condition of the house and massive amounts of compacted animal waste indicate years of negligence. I am aware complaints of failure to respond to animal neglect calls have been a serious issue for animal control especially with County Officer Geyman. I’m not trying to protect anyone. But I am asking if you want some sort of record of your complaint to please text me at (812) 701-8407 To my knowledge county animal control has never had to log calls or show any record for abuse and neglect intervention. In other words- since no one required the reports to be filed - you are probably correct stating that “he just ignored everything.” Please text me with your information. I’d ask Jeff to hold posts related to the abuse but just cleared the way for comments to go up. JB is an avid animal lover and so unless your post has extremely vulgar language - it will likely go up. Tjh

Bob and company think they are the smartest people in the room. When it started they thought they could just tap dance there way around the protocols to get this project off the ground. As the weeks have went by the push back from the public has grown to its current state. Those bright boys never thought it would get to this point. Yet, still they think they got all the brain power and it will all be good. I want to make a valid point to these brainiacs. I bet they never thought this deep. This whole battle is going to come down to a Chubby Silver Spoon City Attorney. Daddy isn't around to protect and lend guidance anymore. I think the good people of Madison who do not want this project on the riverfront should feel pretty darn good about it's position today. Although, the Mayor has not thought this deep. He may soon realize he is betting the fight of his life on a City Attorney who is lackluster at his job on a good day. This Mayor and his court have not made many smart moves throughout this process. The guy they have chosen to bring it home is not much of a closer. Good Luck with Ole Chubby Silver Spoon Bob!

If good old bob has plans to run for higher office,who is going to vote for him? He's really ticked off a lot of voters especially in his own party. For any run at higher office he's more of a liability than an asset

Our illustrious mayor Bobby Courtney has plans to run for a higher office than he is currently holding come election time. He's too big for his britches for us and once the damage is done to our riverfront he doesn't plan on even being here. His intentions are definitely not good ones and the people of the riverfront will be the ones stuck with the mess he's made. Believe it.
