Comments: Planning commission notes are open door policy and must be made available to the public. If they are not available to the public contact the attorney generals office and they will correct the problem if they are not made public. The laws concerning the state are made in Indianapolis not Madison. If there is a problem it will be corrected. When you people vote remember the actions of your politions.

Comments: All the focus now is on the luxury apartments. What happened to New Lufe Fellowship church now housing Jefferson house? We were promised a meeting. My councilman won't return emails. The building inspector promised results on zoning and permits. I hear crickets. Someone besides the church knew they were moving to the church. Noone wants to talk. I wasn't opposed to the men being there, but now I am because our elected officials and building inspector won't do their jobs.

Comments: So did I hear right on the common council meeting that Eva Braun is sending Dr. Jenner here for Regatta? His first year as governor and it's above him to attend the dang on governors cup. At least Holcomb loved coming here, would go out of his way to be here.

Comments: Regarding Lisa Ferguson- while it is true she is an avid Courtney supporter often seen posting glorious, over the top compliments of Bob even when the community as a whole knows he is wrong- it isn’t accurate that she is blindly supporting the Riverfront District- multi level apartment development. I’ve been told Lisa is AGAINST the development and she has spoken courageously about being AGAINST the apartments and proposed new district which would allow the development.
JB allows posts about Lisa because she ran for public office. And yes, in the past whether he was right or wrong Lisa was perceived as a Courtney “cheerleader”. But she is NOT supporting him on this issue. Like it or not Lisa has demonstrated great courage in taking her stand. Long before Trump used the military, ICE, withdrawing funding, intimidation, threats to industry and businesses, removing folks from long time positions where s/he performed well, etc etc, Bob had already been removing people from boards, filing law suits, demanding protective orders against persons for simply speaking against his ideas, intimidating and threatening groups or businesses, using police to harass and lately chasing after a young woman and blocking her in her vehicle because he didn’t like that she allegedly “Flipped him the bird”. Bobs list of abuses is rather long and still growing so Lisa, like any citizen takes the risk of “setting Bob off.” Her stand against the development places her at risk along with other citizens who have the courage and strength to fight for that in which they believe. Welcome to America, welcome to Madison- where elected officials feel empowered to abuse citizens just for speaking the truth.
Cut Lisa some slack. She knows exactly what the risk is and takes it anyway. Tjh

Comments: The information about Lisa Ferguson is by large incorrect. She did not speak at the most recent meeting - and most importantly she does NOT favor the riverfront development district for the purpose of multi level apartment complexes and business occupancy. Again Lisa is AGAINST the development. JB has allowed posts about Lisa because she ran for district one council against Patrick Thevenow. I believe the confusion may be because she is seen by many as a “blind” supporter of Bob and because of her unflinching , over the top continuous praise of Bob on social media, including his obvious failures. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a backbone or courage- and she has used both to convey her disapproval of Bobs latest “scheme”. I’ve no idea how Bob is handling Lisa’s recent reversal of support. If past behavior is indicator Bob will seek vengeance.
I hope not. Long before Trump began misusing ICE, the military and funding cuts to seek vengeance on those he doesn’t like or who spoke against him- including veterans, Bob had slowly slipped into some very bad habits. He has utilized various tools to silence those who speak against him. From eliminating board positions , to law suits, protective orders against those who speak against him or insult him, to most recently chasing after and confining a young woman in her car for allegedly “* * *” and even using law enforcement in an attempt to intimidate. Bob has taken a dangerous turn in his “leadership” style. Hopefully he will allow Lisa to disagree and will maintain some level of dignity and not “punish” Lisa. As for Lisa, no doubt it’s fair to evaluate her as a blind Courtney supporter- but there’s no value in assuming she isn’t brave enough to stand against Bob on an issue for which she believes deeply. Because , I’ve been told, she , like the vast majority of the community does NOT want a multi level apartment complex on the riverfront. Tjh
