Just to share a thought about Wilson Ave. The road has been closed for 2 months and from what I can gather the construction company is responsible but don't have the time to fix it. Here's my solution. Hire another company to fix it, then send the bill to the responsible company.

If you buy them right as they go on sale for the next year they cost MUCH less. Most event prices increase the closer to the event, especially in a festival situation. I paid a very reasonable $55 for a combo wristband last July. Plan ahead and buy early is all I can can tell you. I hope you find a way to enjoy yourself this weekend.

I can't believe the prices that are being charged for a half * * * boat race and a washed up music venue, are you people out of your minds?

With only a couple days notice the city of Madison has intelligently deciding to quit inconveniencing the good people on Jefferson Street for the staging the "parade"and now moved it to 2nd Street. Does the administration enjoy interrupting the daily lives of residents? You can speed all you want up and down the side streets and ignore stop signs, but leave your vehicle parked in front of your house on parade day and the police will be on the spot to tow your vehicle. Not everyone has off street parking. So here city of Madison is something to think on: use the area on Vaughn Dr where Courtney wants his condoms. Vaughn drive is already closed and condom heights has more than enough room for staging. After all if 56 affordable condoms can be erected there, why not?

I'm not coddling any kids. I was informing of the problem which is when a kid 4 or five years older is picking on little kids because they are afraid of kids their on age. I told my kids the same thing my Dad told me. If they are much bigger then you pick up a club and knock them upside the head and they will get the message. It worked.

Anyone planning on letting our out of town guests know what our mayor wants to do to our riverfront?

In regards to our hotel rates, and the ridiculous comment about $3440 room rates, we do not have our rates set for next year or open for booking online. So yes, you will see a extreme default amount for rooms online. However, for those curious as we are totally not ripping anyone off, our rates start at $160 per night for the Regatta. Significantly less than our competitors for 4th of July. You're welcome to call the hotel for complete rates. Have a wonderful day!

Thats not true about Riverboat Inn. The price starts at $160 a night and booking for 26 isn't even open yet. This year's highest room is rented by a local, for less then half that price. You must be upset you cant find anywhere to stay downtown? Do you have any idea the amount of money Chad & Ashley have invested these past 2yrs? Probably not. Any idea for the upgrades for this winter? Doubt it pal. You're welcome to come by sometime but not this weekend. Guests only please! :)
