Comments: The city of Edinburgh has reportedly cut ties with USSSA softball. Tournaments have been suspended until further notice. Maybe someone from the parks department should reach out to Tim Foster with Indiana USSSA and put Rucker to use.
The only improvement needed to host tournaments at Rucker is to remove the grass infield. No turf needed!

MADISON
Stand strong and Say NO to developing a new Riverfront District.
I think the Army Corps of Engingeers need to be contacted just to be sure they should not be envolved.
The Apartments can go other places. Lets not ruin the entire riverfront.

Comments: Well, I'm going to start calling Mayor Bob Tricky Courtney. He is taking a page out of the Nixon playbook. He claims there is a silent majority who is really for these apartments on the Riverfront. However, they are just afraid to say anything because of the blowback of just a few noise makers. The man is not only a Trump wannabe but he also has shades of Tricky * * * Nixon. The lies this man is spinning across this community is sinful!

Comments: I believe the local Democrats are planning a protest this weekend under the guise of unity (š). Seems more like a local effort to coordinate with nation wide protests this weekend.

Comments: Iāve no idea if rumors are true that ICE was at the state Hospital. Nor do I know of rumors are true that they removed someone. I know a US senator was forcibly dragged from a press conference which basically appeared to be a cheering session for ICE , military occupation and DHS. Iāve no idea if Courtney will instruct local police to physically remove people from the upcoming not so public hearing. I understand people are aggravated and furious with comments from a city councilwoman like, āI donāt care what my constituents wantā , NDAs , weird money being ālaunderedā or ādonatedā or whatever through a local flower shop as a āgiftā. I do however know - thanks to Iowas Senator- āwe are all going to dieā and itās important not to turn your back if you are reporter- you could get shot with a rubber bullet. Protest peacefully and report opportunists and vandals who try to take advantage of the demonstrations by damaging property and stealing. Have a good day - tjh

Comments: The county plan commission met Tuesday evening at the 4H building to be sure they could accommodate the public. There were no technical glitches. The hearing was devoted to solar and barrel warehouse updates to the UDO- which is the unified development ordinances document. Everyone wishing to speak was granted the opportunity and several persons ceded their time to allow others to have more opportunity to clarify critical points. The hearing was a listening session- not discussion or question and answer session. The meeting was led by the boards president, Mr. Warren Auxier and not a commissioner. Two members of the commission were absent - the board did not pass a motion to push the changes forward and instead will continue to clarify a few points at their next meeting. Clearly neither the no nor the pro will get everything they want. Compromise seems to be the point for both groups under the commission's leadership. Neither party will win nor loose everything. Instead- democracy with its messy, peaceful approach steps slowly forward. Congrats to both the no and pro for a job well done and to the commission for serving the people instead of personal agendas. Tjh

Comments: Thank you for asking but Iāve no idea why Bob wanted a NDA with the developer. Especially since the APPLICANT FOR THE VARIANCE IS THE CITY. It seems obvious the NDA is meant to hide things for the city (Bob). Tjh
