News flash everybody else has their decorations down that includes shops and banks and families and old folks and businesses. The city just dropped the ball this year. So pardon me if I do let feel all sorry for workers out in 30-50 degree weather for the last few weeks. Snowstorms over folks. Has been for 3 weeks.

If it's too cold to take Christmas decorations down why wasn't it too cold to put up Valentines Hearts ??

Let's be fair, the weather has been deathly cold in Madison. It would be ridiculous to ask city employees to get out in dangerously cold weather and up on ladders or lifts to remove Christmas decoration when there was ice and snow and piles of snow all around.

This is how I feel about anyone hiring an attorney. If you need an attorney, and you have created the problem, such as Bob did, his employer, which is US, should never, under any circumstances be paying for it. If we are footing one dime for his attorney then we need to raise hell.
This is quick turning into a cluster Tuck of his own making, just like everything else he has done.
As for his getting a Sagamore of the Wabash, that is certainly a lowering of the bar and a slap in the face of the good and decent people who have earned one. Seeing this just brought me waves of nausea.
Our community and our state has certainly gone straight to hell.

I very seldom do this, however to defend the city it’s been a significant snow period for us. The street dept. only has so many employees. Do you want them to clear the roads or stop to take down Christmas Decor. There are only a limited amount of street employees.. Our street dept works hard year around, heat, rain, snow and then trying to fit in events that go year around. Our street dept. is Awesome, Dedicated and Trusted to doing their job. Please give them some slack. Please be patient, they are doing the necessary things first.

Someone commenting on the good ole boys bus being parked for several months in handicapped parking spaces wanted to know what's the big deal? The big deal is there are several violations of law. The average Madison citizen would have been ticketed long ago. Why hasn't the law been enforced ? Why is the city an administrator of pick and choose law enforcement? I hate rumors and such but more and more I'm beginning to believe the comments made by citizens against our city government. Certainly no transparency and accountability :) :)

Why don't the citizens of Jefferson county have a say where money is spent from the Bethany legacy foundation? That money was intended for the less fortunate and people in need. Not the cities infrastructure and police dept? This county doesn't have any crime. And a handful of people? How is that even legal a group of people can just take over a hospitals endowment?
